Alongside ordinary waitressing duties, I am expected to go above and beyond for customers in order to provide an impeccable level of customer service. This is through embodying the values of People, Planet and Prosperity, that Bettys is founded upon.
This includes understanding the menu in enough detail to be able to facilitate a customers’ complex dietary requirements, possessing the communication skills to explain and help tourists and international customers with their orders, and providing and meeting customers expectations of exceptional service despite the extremely busy nature of the tea room.

Part time waitressing to help fund my studies. I gradually increased my responsibilities in the restaurant, through gaining experience and building strong relationships with other staff members and my manager.
Aside from everyday waitressing duties, I was trusted to shut down the restaurant at the end of the working day. This included cashing up and working out the overall takings of Northside Diner, along with ensuring the restaurant is ready for the next working day.
