About me
As a History of Art and Visual Culture student, I am passionate about uncovering the social and cultural contexts behind artistic masterpieces. With a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for diverse artistic expressions, I am dedicated to exploring the intersections of art, history, and society.
Throughout my academic journey, I have delved into various periods and cultures, while honing my analytical and communication skills. My coursework has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of art theory, iconography, and how the past informs current visual expression. I have also applied this knowledge to a business context through my Marketing Minor.
Driven by curiosity and a desire to expand my knowledge, I actively seek opportunities to engage with art firsthand, whether through museum visits, gallery exhibitions, or cultural events. Through my volunteer position at Gunnersbury Park Museum, I was able to gain first-hand experience communicating the heritage of the museum and its collections to visitors of all ages and backgrounds, while also learning about the logistical operations behind heritage site conservation and collections management.
Through both my academic career and past work experience across the hospitality, retail and human resource sectors, I have honed my ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, across wide demographics, be this orally or in writing.
I am excited to leverage my passion for art history and my academic background to contribute meaningfully to the cultural sector. Whether through research, curatorial work, or educational outreach, I am committed to sharing the deeper meanings behind visual media and fostering dialogue about its enduring relevance in our lives.
Let's connect and explore the fascinating world of art together!
