About me
I approached Communication Design from an artistic point of view during High School. Then, I decided to study Media Languages to dedicate my passion for the Visual Arts working on Advertising techniques. And finally, I attended the Communication Design MA to improve my practical skills. During the last period, I approached the field of Data Visualization with DensityDesign Research Lab, where I did an Internship and MA thesis. The DensityDesign experience raised on me a critical conscience from which I discovered the communication potentialities useful, not just to return contents, but also, for topic exploration and investigation. So, I have decided to spend my abilities to make complex phenomena understandable through visual and sound representations and involving people creating empathy on social issues.

Graduation Thesis Title: Disclosing cyber-attacks on water distribution systems. An experimental approach to the sonification of threats and anomalous data Summary: The increasing number of cyber-physical attacks on the water supply systems makes necessary a frequent and accurate way to communicate anomalies. Considering during the workday analysts are occupied in many mansions that prevent them from focusing their attention on the screen visualizations, the project proposes a data sonification approach to express the first level of information, useful to monitor the status of the system. The sonification developed describes the system status, calculating how the data reported from sensors positioned on the network is different from the prediction described by an algorithm that does not consider any possible irregularity.
