About me
I am a Genoese Fashion designer, graduated from Polimoda International Institute of Fashion and Marketing, in Fashion Design course.
Since then I did four internships: the first one at Anne de Grijff Design in design and product Womenswear/Menswear department, the second one at Studio Aziz Bekkaoui, in style and design Womenswear/Menswear office and the last one as knitwear designer 0-12 in style and product department at Benetton Group.
In April 2015 I did an internship as Knitwear and Jersey Womenswear intern at Acne Studios, in Stockholm, then I moved back to Genoa and followed my interest in Knitwear doing an internship at AVANT TOI a cashmere focused knitwear brand.
At the end of 2016 I started a job as junior menswear knitwear and jersey designer at the new brand, ARKET, within the H&M Group.
My time as an intern and junior designer helped me to approach fashion in a working environment, performing several tasks as:
- pattermaking and sewing ( making and modifying patterns achieving the
desired shape through try outs and prototypes);
- updating the overviews and the design collection boards;
- designing a collection and selecting the materials;
- technical drawings ( using Illustrator and Photoshop);
- bookkeeping ( using Excel);
- assisting during the photo-shooting as stylist, with the Dutch portrait
photographer Koos Breukel for Anne de Grijff Design A/W 2014 collection
and for Studio Aziz Bekkaoui S/S 2015 collection.
Assisting during the meetings for the creation of the Acne Studios Pre S/S
2016, Main S/S 2016 and Pre A/W 2016 Collections .
I have a strong background in Photoshop and Illustrator. I consider myself as a willing, curious, hard-working and flexible person; a steady passion, dedication and vivid imagination motivate me.
In my opinion Fashion goes hand in hand with Art: a Fashion show is a performance, not just about clothes, around them there must be a “frame” that completes and enriches the show.
I beleive that something unexpected is an important factor, something that makes you curious about the garments, like you want to discover them.
I pay special attention to colours and materials, in fact the accurate research of textiles is absolutely significant for me and I think that both respect of tradition and the continuous quest for innovation are key elements to create a relevant collection.
