About me
On the 18th September 2018, I started one of the most decisive, meaningful and unpredictable experiences of my life: I left my secure and cosy home in Italy and, with two luggage way heavier than me, I arrived in London.
I found a new house, new friends, a new place to call home and this made me think about the importance of relations and connections. When we watch a movie, we are acknowledging a story and the reason why we love it so much is because human beings have always used a story to communicate with each other. Storytelling is not only a skill but also a compelling necessity that every individual employee to communicate, re-order and share his experience. And is probably now, more than ever, that this necessity of reaching distant people, speak to diversities and about diversities has become more urgent.
My amazing grandfather worked for his whole life as a cartoon animator and always involved me in his magic world: he taught me that laughing is one of the most powerful forms of communication. This is something that I had always treasured, and also the main reason why today I reckon that my biggest passion is communicating and relating with people, by using all the different media I have at my disposal.
When in Italy I had the chance to live my first real internship experience in a TV Production company, I would have never imagine that what after only 6 months I would have been able to obtain a proper job and this would have matched with my passion: I wasn't only working on sets, developing contents and ideas, but more importantly I was creating different forms of communications, and I was sharing them with a proper audience.
This helped me to understand that the television (or film) production is indeed the department that I believe is best suited to my personality, my skills and my passion: I am indeed a hard-working, energetic and positive person, who loves to share her idea and to work with different people and talents. I am highly proficient, well organised and quite experienced at managing budgets, schedules, travels and data. I possess well-developed communication, strategic and interpersonal skills. I always remain focussed in highly demanding situations.
My dream for the future is to keep applying what I am good at to what I like the most, just as my grandfather always did and always showed me. I would like to test myself and understand the different working and professional dynamics of the British Industry, also compared to the Italian ones.
