My responsibilities have included money mapping the shop floor; weekly bestseller and competitor reports; styling and advising customers in store; assisting with visual merchandising; locating items from other stores and using a new system called Mercaux to build and style outfits on the iPad to inspire customers. The role requires me to know the products in detail, as well as being up to date with trends and competitors.

I worked with Omer Asim on his SS18 collection. During my time there I assisted with grading patterns; cutting out final fabrics; hand embroidery and sourcing trims. I also did the specification drawings for the entire collection. The internship helped develop my experience within a studio setting and greatly improved on my CAD and pattern cutting skills.
