About me
I am currently Studying towards a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in English Literature and Communication & Media Studies at The University of Liverpool. Seeking graduate opportunities for June 2019 onwards. I regard myself as a motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individual. My current role for LSRadio has given me practical experience within the media industry, an industry which I am passionate about pursuing in my career. As Head of Interviews at LSRadio, I organised and managed a team of interviewers, as well as feature writing for the radio's website and interviewing multiple artists and bands myself. However, my skills don't lie solely within radio, I am skilled in Customer Service, Sales, Social Media, Blogging, Feature Writing, and Artist Liaison. I've also gained experience in many admin functions, such as meeting organisation, data inputting, email, Visio/Excel/Word and skype skills, which I gained during my time at the Open University. Whilst at the Open University I got a grasp of working for a large company and in particular the IT department, I shadowed some key roles and gained knowledge in Project Management and general running of an IT Department. My creative skills are constantly being used and improved as I push myself in my studies and in my role as content writer for The National Student, where I write articles for the Arts and Culture, Music and Travel sections.

    Station ManagerLSRadio
    Liverpool, United KingdomFull Time
After being elected as Station Manager of LSRadio, back in April of 2018, I commenced planning and organising the radio almost immediately. My role as Station Manager consists of, ensuring LSRadio runs smoothly, dealing with the administrative side of the station, being LSRadio’s first port of call for general queries, as well as ensuring our team of student DJs and interviewers are trained and happy, and liaising with external bodies, such BBC Merseyside . This role has given my invaluable experiences such as: - BBC Production Masterclass – Attended a masterclass with 3 of Radio 1’s top producers and gained valuable insight into how the producers work at the BBC. - Produced a Radio Show with hosts Scott Mills and Chris Stark for LSRadio – During Radio 1’s Freshers Tour 2018 I created and produced a one off radio show to be hosted by one of our in house DJs alongside Radio 1’s Scott Mills and Chris Stark. This show was a success and topped any previous shows in terms of number of listeners and audience interaction. - Collaborated with BBC Radio Merseyside with one of their new shows that gives the young people of Liverpool a platform to voice their opinions. The show consists of different LSRadio members and students each week on a panel of young people from other student/community radio discussing and debating topical subjects such as, LGBT issues, YouTubers, Political issues in Liverpool and Nationally, Challenges students face etc. During the set-up of this show I worked closely with the Station Manager of BBC Radio Merseyside, the Presenter and producer.
