About me
I am currently in my second year at the University of Leeds studying BA Film, Photography and Media. I have a strong passion predominantly for film production, which is reflected not only in my previous internship experience but also the various film projects I have worked on, as well as my role as Social Secretary for UoL's Film Society 2023-24. In my spare time I enjoy ballet dancing, which I have done since the age of 3; I am now a member of UoL Ballet Society for a second year running and a part of their Show Team. I am also a big fan of music and enjoy listening to Britpop, Soul and Classic Rock. I have intermediate level German language skills after studying it at A Level, and lived in the south of Germany for 6 weeks as an aupair during my gap year.
Projects
  • Kingdom by Eszter Vida (2024)
Kingdom by Eszter Vida (2024)Using DaVinci Resolve and a collection of clips provided, I edited a music video for a friend as a project to complete in my spare time outside of my degree. This project allowed me to develop skills around adding more depth and texture to visual media and also helped me to realise that, alongside projects such as Grand-Alan (2023), I thoroughly enjoy working with music in my editing. This is the first editing project I have produced for a ‘client’ and hopefully the first of many.
  • Grand-Alan (2023)
Grand-Alan (2023)Solo-project documentary/short film about the life and career of my Grandfather as a jazz drummer. Produced for the Camera and Editing module in year one of my BA Film, Photography and Media degree and was accompanied with an in-depth risk assessment and evaluation. This film achieved a First, and is the project I am most proud of.
  • Whitebase E Speaker Commercial (2022)
Whitebase E Speaker Commercial (2022)A group of friends had a project making their own music speaker of which I volunteered to produce a short comical advert/commercial for them. Based in London, I thought of a concept, drew a storyboard and wrote the script for the video in order for the boys to film it themselves in Southampton, before editing it myself using DaVinci Resolve. This was a short project done just for fun in between completing my A Levels and starting University.

TV & Film Virtual Work Experience ProgrammeSpringpod
In between finishing my A Levels and starting university, I attended a virtual work experience course via Springpod to help get me ready both for university and eventually moving into the film and television industry. The course involved completing written and creative tasks surrounding film and television, attending online talks from industry experts and completing quizzes to test my knowledge.
