Grace is a freelance Illustrator based in London. Her work combines disparate pieces of collage with paint and charcoal to create evocative imagery that is both playful and controlled; the careful interplay between the figurative and abstract give her illustrations a unique visual language that lends itself well to a variety of work.
I am currently working as a freelance illustrator. Clients I have worked with include: V&A Therapy Today Voyeur (Virgin Australia's in-flight magazine) Tablet Magazine SOFFA PRN (Practical Resource for Nurses) Magazine Spitalfields Silks/Sirens Roady The Loop Sony P&G The Illustrated Game Kameleon My work has also been exhibited across the UK including the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Ideal Home Show.
The role involved the successful running and creation of the Arts programme to include engaging and suitable workshops/ activities for 200+ campers from age 5-16. Including pottery, animation, organic art, eco and foraging art. Lead a team of three.
Position of Assistant Bid Writer, working to strict deadlines, tendering for varying projects and M&E works. Responsibilities included the design and layout of tender documents and the production of bespoke presentations and material tailored to the client, all of which must adhere to strict company branding.
Working with high-profiled clients from such as Sony and P&G, contributing to team meetings and events. At the agency I produced storyboards for P&G’s Olympic Campaign and Sony’s Wimbeldon film which showed in the Wimbeldon 360 Museum; animated banners and images for Kameleon’s daily blog; spot illustrations for ‘Snowfest’ brochure; typography and animations for Sony;
I achieved a first class honors degree and won the Achievement Award in my first year.
I achieved a Distinction for my foundation diploma at both level 4 and level 5 (a higher level equivalent to degree level).
I was selected as one of Reyker's Emerging Artsits
I won the V&A Illustration Awards Student Category for my book cover and inside illustrations for Robert Macfarlane's The Wild Places
I won an Achievement Award during my first year at the University of Westminster
