I'm a London–based freelance journalist, editor, sub-editor, copywriter, copyeditor and proofreader specialising in food, restaurants and food culture. My current clients include Lonely Planet magazine, Uncommonly, where I recently copyedited the forthcoming The Pig cookbook, and The Gourmand magazine. Last year I sub-edited O2 Alive magazine for Hearst Made; wrote introductory chapters, copy-edited and proof-read for Phaidon Books – The German Cookbook, Feed Me, Red: Architecture in Monochrome, and Yardbird. I undertake bespoke publishing projects for restaurants and small presses. I write articles on restaurants, food and food culture.
I was Content and Production Manager at BBC Good Food, and Chief Sub, Production Editor and Writer at Olive magazine for nine years. I was Sub-editor and Writer at Restaurant magazine, where I contributed to the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants lists, was a judge at The Sommelier of the Year competition, the UK Best Dishes awards, and the World Cheese Awards. I have been working in food magazines for 14 years and in journalism since 2001.
