Led the delivery of over £12M of cabin trim components (headliner, pillar trims and overhead console) through the product development cycle, ensuring parts were made to cost, weight and met specification.
Led the resolution of a 3 year old technical issue, managing and negotiating with a team of stakeholders, presenting to and persuading senior directors to enable the right solution for the business.
Managed the implementation of a major late design change. Working with various suppliers and internal designers to understand new technologies available and successfully implemented a ‘first to market’ design.
Working with the finance team I led the business case and product costing for the new design. Presented to the CFO’s first line and successfully got the design and costs agreed for the vehicle.
Managed a team of suppliers, chairing weekly reviews to understand and remove roadblocks and ensure the engineering work was being completed to schedule whilst keeping good working relations.

Optical Quality LeaderJaguar Land Rover

Responsible for leading a team of engineers to deliver crafted quality targets over £500M of investment. I ran daily meetings with the engineers and created a forum to discuss and resolve system engineering issues.
Developed and maintained the online VBA system used by the team to progress and track craftsmanship issues. Through code optimisation I reduced the number of bugs and streamlined the process to reduce the time spent by engineers and optical quality leaders doing admin.
Carried out a Green Belt project to identify factors for late delivery to project milestones. Successfully determined the root cause and implemented prior to leaving the team. Estimated to save £2-3M per project.
Developed a fluid resource planning tool in VBA for my senior manager. Using role profiles, outlining the hours required for a specific role over a project timeline, the tool would allow to see where the team was over/understaffed. This allowed for redistribution within the 70 person team to increase working effectiveness and efficiency.
Mentored new graduates and liaised with my senior manager to ensure the graduates were supported, and were positioned in the right places within the company.
