About me
I am a multilingual researcher and writer specialising in the Middle East and Africa with excellent political and historical understanding of the region. I am a First Class graduate in Arabic and Persian from The University of Oxford and I have experience pitching podcast topics and writing in-depth and time-sensitive briefs for presenters; topics included the Syrian Civil War, cultural taboos of the Middle East, and labour rights across the region. I am currently interested in working within non-scripted factual television.
I am part of the Edinburgh TV Festival The Network 2022 cohort. Currently, I'm also receiving mentorship through the Arts Emergency Mentorship Scheme. Earlier this year, I completed a ScreenSkills Avid and Premier Pro editing course.
