Hamadou Frédéric Baldé’s work is rooted in his multicultural background. Born from a French-Vietnamese mother and a Nomad Fulani father, he brings his diversity and thoughtful exploration of lineage to each image he creates. Through sensuality and movement, he offers an in-depth analysis of humanity and interconnectedness.
His conceptual outlook merges easily with high-profile commercial work: with Ali Mahershala, winner of the 2017 Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Moonlight, for a fashion commercial, and most recently with Beyoncé and Jay Z as Behind-The-Scenes videographer on their OTR II European tour.
