As a researcher on Countryfile Diaries I:
Contact organisations across the UK in order to find and develop stories for the appropriate season.
Pre-visit locations to determine their suitability for a shoot, use a 5D camera to take shots of the location, and create the research documents to show the series producer my findings.
Organise the shoots of those that are relevant and work with the crew to ensure that the finishing product is of a high quality.
Responsible for working closely with contributors, ensuring that relevant administrative tasks are complete, and that they are satisfied with the outcome of the shoot

I was a junior researcher on a new documentary series in the Natural History Unit.
Conducted desktop research as well as interviews with expert anthropologists in order to create comprehensive research documents for producers to use on shoot.
Sourced and cleared archive footage to be used in the final production.
Designed interview questions to source potential contributors and build successful working relationships with those selected.
Collaborated with the BBC Digital team to develop digital ideas that can be used to reach a wider audience, in particular, appealing to a younger demographic.
Liaised with production coordinators and international fixers to set up shoots and provide ongoing support to facilitate a successful outcome.
