My name is Hanna Whiteman, I'm a climate-conscious textile print designer, based in London, who is focused on the new and essential field of sustainable textile print. I am driven to find new material and technological approaches to find solutions for the textile industry’s impact.
My research stems from my Biophilia - a love of nature, which is present in my prints. My process includes growing, collecting, observing, and documenting plants and flowers to harness an organic and graphic expression. I find myself always returning to nature, a timely reminder of the need to design with sustainability as the core goal.
My recent work delves into regenerative design and establishing closer connections with rural agriculture and luxury textile production. I see a future of fashion systems integrated with circular and permaculture systems. Influenced by bio-design and biomaterials, I am interested in innovative material research and how design systems can become more organically connected.
I have worked as Project Manager, with the pioneering sustainable fashion designer Phoebe English on projects including AWSS24 collection, LFW24, collaborations, and research projects.
I am a skilled Project Manager and have excellent communication, personal, and negotiation abilities.
