About me

I love being creative and have been sewing, drawing and painting throughout my whole life one way or another. I am trained in garment design and production and worked in the fashion industry for 10 years, this included buying, production and design roles. I've made costumes for theatre and sourced props and accessories for photoshoots. I am always on a quest to learn and develop and in recent years I have returned to my first love - Art. I started my own creative 'micro' business in 2018 and have been evolving my painting and drawing ever since. I also make textile home and fashion accessories, all printed with surface designs based on my paintings and illustrations. Products range from cushions, make-up bags, shower caps to swimsuits and sweatshirts. I also sell my artwork as fine art prints and do special commissioned work. This has included special places such as homes, wedding venues and favourite holiday destinations. I sell my art and makes on Etsy and at seasonal craft markets. I am seeking assistant roles within Gallery, Museum, Craft, Auction House or interior design environments. I would love to combine all of my creative skills and experience in a role or organisation that benefits others in some way. I have very strong administration and organisation skills and a 'can do' approach to new tasks and challenges. I am resourceful and a natural problem solver.

  Surface patternsMy drawings and paintings are inspired by living by the sea here in Southsea. I love bold colour and impactful shapes. My work hovers between abstract and modern impressionism and illustration . I use some of my original work as surface pattern designs and have produced some home and beauty accessories with them.

I am a skilled dressmaker and trained pattern maker. I use these skills to create a range of textile items from sweatshirts, swimwear, headbands, make-up bags, espadrilles and more. I love creating and also paint and draw. I have used some of my original paintings and illustrations as fabric prints for my makes. I Market my products and art prints on etsy.com and at seasonal craft markets. I have gained many transferable skills whilst doing this, including social media marketing, managing online shop pages, invoicing, keeping accounts, organising and setting up trade stands for craft markets.
