About me

I’m Hannah Anesu Costelloe I was born and raised in North-West London, educated in Harlesden and have always desired to use documentary film as the means through which to bring to life the stories of members of my community. The stories of those who got me to where I am today! Whilst I recognise the privilege of studying International Relations at The University of Edinburgh, I’ve always desired to be on the ground! To humanise those who are taught to me in the lecture theatre, and be a vessel through which their stories touch the hearts of many. Reminding us all that film has the power to make us feel like we are apart of someone else’s reality, to empathise, to shake us into action and to hear and see what we may not be able to reach or touch. If there are any documentary film makers who share my vision, who perhaps have the time to mentor me and invest in my dream… I would love the opportunity to work alongside you. Hannah
