About me

I have enjoyed being an integral part of several small, growing businesses where my trustworthy and passionate character has ensured I add real value wherever I have been. Working with people is where my real strengths lie, and I thrive amongst teams with a sense of personality, ambition, humour and integrity, as these best compliment my own approach. Since my move to Bristol in October 2012 I moved away from restaurant management and took on a variety of freelance marketing projects, embarking on a new career path to expand my experience and capability in marketing and PR. This led me to a full time role within a professional PR agency which allowed me to use my skills acquired through my freelance experience, but within a busy office environment. I recently moved to Topsham and will be working in a freelance capacity for Proven Communication, but only part time hence a new search for other work in this area!

Account Manager

Proven Communication

Sep 2013 - Mar 2016
  • I managed several clients within the luxury food and drink industry, covering consumer and trade PR and marketing, specialising in still and sparkling wine. Responsibilities included sourcing press and feature opportunities for products and clients, organising and attending various media and trade events, managing social media accounts, writing proposals, and planning and hosting press trips. The role involved creative writing when producing blogs, writing press releases and features. There was a constant need to think outside the box particularly when designing strategies. I quickly progressed from Junior Account Manager to Account Manager after less than a year, and continued to develop my communication skills within a team and between corporate companies, as well as building on my networking confidence and ability.
