Dean's Scholars ProgramUniversity of Colorado, Boulder
I was one of 20 students selected for the University of Colorado at Boulder's first Dean's Scholars program for their school of journalism. This meant I was given immediate admission to the school of journalism, based on my writing samples and university entrance exams. I had breakfast with the dean of the journalism school on a monthly basis to discuss course work, the media industry and the university environment.
