• Until Christmas of 2011, I was working in the Dot Com department. This involved going around store and gathering the items customers have ordered online and ensuring they were completed and correctly sorted.
• Then, following a change in staff, I was moved permanently to checkouts. This experience furthered my customer service skills and confidence in communicating with a diverse number of customers.
• As well as operating the checkouts, I was also taught how to successfully operate and maintain self-service tills and scan-as-you-shop, again expanding my knowledge to assist customers when needed.
• Following my acceptance to university, I transferred to an Express store which allowed me to advance further within the company.
• My skills were enhanced further, as I was introduced to the workings of Click & Collect, the bakery and I have been trained to open and close shop, cash up and conduct regular till lifts with other colleagues.
• With the recent instalment of a Costa Express machine, I have also been taught how to maintain the machine, as well as change multiple components.

• In my time as a catering assistant at the football club, I was involved mainly in providing great customer service to the vast numbers that came to see home games. I built rapport with many, particularly regulars who attended every match.
• The experience was a great confidence builder and opened me to new and interesting people.
• I also helped in the preparation of hot food, as well as the overall maintenance and upkeep of the bar I was stationed.
• I acquired many new skills and knowledge about customer service, good housekeeping as well health & safely protocols and general hygiene in the workplace.
• I had to leave this job, mainly because I had been accepted to university, but also because of multiple changes in management and lack of advancement.
