About me

A creative individual with a passion for print, currently studying Illustration at university. Enjoys the “hands on” experience of print, with techniques including but not limited to: screen printing, lino printing, fabric printing and letterpress. Also enjoys creating abstract work, allowing out of the box thinking and initiative when designing. Expertise in Adobe software such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, all of which have been applied in a professional environment during a placement year. Reliable and adaptable individual who works well as part of a team, but equally efficient working under own motivation to achieve set targets and objectives. Also has an eagerness to continuously learn and acquire new skills.

Gained industry skills through a broad range of roles and responsibilities, within a small print company. This involved using software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop on a daily basis, to carry out a variety of tasks from recreating existing logos as vectors for locally based companies, to creating new logos from a client brief. This also included producing brochure mock ups and editing photos so that they were ready for print. Worked on the production of a varied range of products such as banners, leaflets and business cards, and developing skills in clothing production utilising techniques such as heat transfer vinyl and Wow transfer paper, which also developed skills in artwork placement. Gained experience in managing own client base and working to tight deadlines, in order to fulfil clients’ needs. Providing excellent customer service skills and resolution to any issues that arose with clients’ orders, as well as keeping clients up to date with the progress of their orders, and managing any design changes required through to final production.
