3rd Year BA (Hons) Fashion Textile Design Student at De Montfort University
My long-held skills and enthusiasm for fashion have developed even further since studying Fashion
and Textiles Design at University. As a high-achieving student, my portfolio of work demonstrates an
increasingly critical and professional approach. I am an enthusiastic, driven individual, with a strong
work ethic. Throughout my degree, I have established strong technical creative skills, imagination and a love for surface, texture and materials. I aspire to pursue a career within the fashion and textile design industry.
Projects
- SUBVERTED GLAMOURFINAL MAJOR PROJECT: My collection draws inspiration from the façade of glamour that films such as Vertigo, Gilda and Rear Window portray. I explored the luxurious, unattainable characters that these films project along with the destruction and ruin underneath. I aimed to develop and present this through a mix of fabric construction, colour, materials, and texture choices. “its all make believe isn’t it” -Marilyn Monroe
