About me
I’m a third year student at Anglia Ruskin University and a freelance writer on the side. I’ve loved creative writing from an early age, but started to develop a real passion for it at the age of sixteen. By seventeen; I knew it was my destined career, and something I’d want to pursue for the rest of my life!
Feature writing is my main calling. I began my career as a staff writer for US publication Affinity at the age of nineteen. Through this, I was able to explore my talent by pushing my own boundaries with each article. While I found myself writing about subjects I love; such as music listicles and album reviews, I decided to delve deeper into unanswered questions and taboo subjects such as sexism and mental health.
I parted with Affinity in early 2018 due to university assignments, however it wasn’t long until I found my calling yet again. I started a blog which ran for over a year (summer 2018 - 19) and reached a readership of over 5,000 thanks to social media promotion and frequent uploads (and, hopefully, quality content!).
By summer 2019, my years of hard work began to pay off with not only an offer of placement at BBC broadcasting house, but a commission with HuffPost UK. The beginning of 2020 saw my second ‘big’ commission; an advice piece for The Guardian.
As I’m graduating this summer, I’m here to start my dream career! I’m hardworking, fiercely independent but a social chameleon, which allows me to work brilliantly in a team.
