I have recently graduated with a first-class honours in Product Design BSc from the University of Leeds. My course encompassed a number of different areas including manufacturing processes, electronics, user centred design and material selection processes, giving me the tools required to innovate and develop new concepts. My degree, alongside an Art Foundation Diploma, has provided me with the ability to create aesthetic yet functional designs.
Sustainable design is where my passion lies and is an essential criteria for the future. We can no longer live in a throw away society and my aim is to create beautiful designs, made to last, with a minimum impact on the environment being my first priority. As a product designer I am fortunate that I have the opportunity, as well as the responsibility, to make a real difference towards sustainable living. I therefore believe it is my duty to focus on both a product’s materials and its end-of-life use with the aim to eliminate single-use products.
I am a personable, vivacious and diligent individual, I love a challenge and am eager to learn new skills. I pride myself on my attention to detail, vivid imagination and outgoing personality.
