About me
Since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I've been drawing and designing. From alternative covers for my videos or christmas and birthday cards for family members I was always being creative, it wasn't until I was older I realised I could use these natural skills for a career. From there I did graphic design at GCSE and art at A level, however I took the risk of leaving sixth form half way though to take up an apprenticeship in graphic design at the National Portrait Gallery.
This apprenticeship allowed be to learn and develop my skills in typography, print design and layout, creative thinking, project and time management and colour theory. These skills set me up to be able to complete tasks and projects such as: redesigning a core range of products for the galleries shop, working on exhibitions with high profile names and sponsors such as Audrey Hepburn, Taylor Wessing, David Bailey and B. As well as this I was also responsible for signage, marketing material design and also creating banners for the website, Eshots, Eflyers, and gif's.
As a person I am confident, understanding and easy going, which I feel allows me to get on and work with people, making the whole job easier for everyone. My short time in America, where I met many different types of people has allowed my confidence in this area to grow. I feel my placid nature relieves me from stressing during busy times, which can also reflect on others, creating less stress around the team, which helps completing projects on time and to a high standard.
