Reporting to the Creative Director I aid in the research, conceptualize and organization of quarterly projects and assist with the execution and production of international shoots, lookbooks and social media content. I also am involved in model casting, PR events, research and liaise with creative agencies, photographers and a variety of external partners.
I organized Katie Grand’s personal archive, and worked alongside the Senior Fashion Editor, in the production of Issue 13. I helped select and style a number of garments for a photo shoot, styled by Phoebe Arnold.
As Bobby Hook’s fashion assistant I aided the selection and styling of garments for their September issue. I organized the fashion teams calendar ensuring that the team knew which events to attend on a daily basis. Throughout my time there I wrote a number of small articles and interviews for TANK and their online magazine Because.
I was part of the McQueen archive for 6 months. I was mainly archiving, organizing, databasing and conserving McQueens’ collections but also performed a number of clerical tasks. Throughout my time there I digitised much of the archive.
My course provided me with a full historical background of fashion from the 15th Century to the present day. I explored fashion theory through the writing of academic essays, presentations, and projects with londons museums and design students. My 26,000 word dissertation focused on the representation of the women within 1990s fashion.
