About me

Since I was younger I have always considered myself to be an individual with a lot of creative energy to offer. I’m always the person with an alternative outlook on life suggesting a different idea to the one you just came up with. However, when I was younger I never use to believe there was a place in the world for us creative individuals. Sadly, with the environment I was brought up in, I use to think you had to be an academic. But I didn’t let this suck the creativity out of me. I was never fazed by this. It never stopped me from being the person I wanted to be and progressing in the subjects I felt more passionate towards. As a result I was always laidback when deciding my future and never paid too much attention to it. For the majority of my younger childhood when someone asked me “What do you want to do when your older?” I use to always say I wanted to become a professional footballer, because who didn’t? Then I use to say I wanted to own my own pharmaceutical company after I saw someone who actually did driving a flash car. But in reality I was away with the fairies. Once I hit the early teenage years when I began to be bombarded with “important” choices that would “define my life”, I use to just make it based on how I felt right there and then in the moment and just wanted to focus on my own creative persona. Having followed this philosophy in the latter stages of my life I am very content with the point in which it has got me so far. But, there is still so much more to explore and learn, which excites me. Creativity to me is like the limitless pill. There are no boundaries, you can be whoever it is you want to be and it can take you on a journey to wherever you let it. Being creative is a form of expression and relief in the most powerful ways. It is a way to capture or create emotion through art, which I find to be pure magic. The closest feeling I can compare it too is like scoring the winning goal in a football match. That feeling you get in your stomach. It’s like electricity. Intercrossing wires of vibrancy and colour; blue, yellow, green, red all sparking together. Having that creative “eureka” moment is that feeling of satisfaction when you place the final piece of the puzzle into the last empty slot. This is what it not only means but also feels to me to be creative and there are so many ways to do it as well: Painting, drawing, writing, singing, acting and many more. Hence why I have always idolised creative personalities such as, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Heath Ledger in my life.

I represented the school in sports such as: cricket, athletics, rugby and I had the privilege to captain the 1st XI Football Team, testing my leadership qualities. I also delivered a school assembly on the theme of forgiveness to four hundred people.
