About me
Having dedicated myself as a creative/concept designer and art director at Scruffy Dog Creative Group for over two years, I am now eagerly looking to embark on a new adventure! Architecture was the catalyst that guided me into the themed entertainment industry - The fusion of form, function, and imagination. I hope to continue crafting cohesive experiences and spaces that are both enchanting and impactful, celebrating the power of creativity and human connection.

My professional career transitioned from building spaces to crafting enchanting narratives and immersive worlds. I had the opportunity to work with the creative team in London, followed by another year alongside the technical team in Barcelona. This new role marked a pivotal moment, allowing me to channel my creative energy into a more dynamic area of design. I spent the duration of my time at SDCG working on a variety of projects including theme parks and attractions, family entertainment centers, museum exhibits, dark rides, and retail/ F&B units.

I worked as a part one architectural assistant at Waldo Works in East London for just over a year, collaborating closely with a team of architects and interior designers. This provided me with a well-rounded experience, allowing me to gain insight into various aspects of architectural practice and design.

Grade : Distinction The final year of my master's was spent in studio DS15, an experimental studio that works with chance and embraces the unintentional. We were encouraged to generate work in a variety of forms such as drawing, making, performance, and sound. Our brief was to convert Wormwood Scrubs prison in Hammersmith and Fulham into a place where a collective society of our choice could live and work. We endeavoured to break out of this restrictive building type through demolition, reuse, radical retrofit, and more to support and nurture our chosen group of people. We worked through several briefs throughout the year that helped construct and develop our final master plan. My group chose to convert this existing correctional facility into The Garden of Eves to support all women who have experienced the criminal justice system or who are at risk of entering it. The project aimed to build confidence, resilience, and well-being, transforming these women's lives through a safe and nurturing environment.

Grade : First Class Honours The projects I developed in my first and second years, revolved around nature. A plant archive in London’s Deptford Creek, and a housing project in the rich countryside of Dorset. Understanding and embracing a site’s topography became an integral component of my creative process. The brief for my third and final year was to design a social condenser within Chicago’s business district, the Loop. Our immediate site formed an "L" shape, made up of a pub and three other commercial units. My proposal included an indoor marketplace, exhibition spaces, and artist studios. The site’s aim was to attract a varied audience and establish a dynamic atmosphere, responding to the evolving needs of the surrounding community. This project revolved around materiality and forms. I experimented with a variety of materials to create my own textures to apply to the project's architecture, reflecting the raw and uncompromising nature of Chicago itself.
