Hi there, My name is Hazel, I am half French, half Scottish. I was born in the South of France where most of my family is and have now been living in the London for just over 2 years and loving it!! The people here are just so friendly and welcoming. The city is lively and full of things to do and the weather asjust bad as it is in Paris! I currently work for a luxury brand which I love since it's all about the sales, cakes and events, all 3 things that I particularly enjoy in life (business development, eating and organising events). I have covered for 6 months for my manager's maternity leave until end of April this year. I am a smiling and generous person but also a determined (I know what I want and will give me the means to reach my goals) and hard working person. Long hours isn't something that will put me off. My current job consists in the following: • Collaborating with the head office in Paris on projects, marketing and communication materials. • Assisting the Managing Director with business strategy and marketing/business development activities including attending high profile networking events. • Preparing and presenting monthly reports on results vs budgets and targets. • Organising events including exhibitions and in-house/external catering for luxury corporate brands and private individual clients. • Coordinating and monitoring event timelines to ensure deadlines are met (with drivers, logistics, catering with the Chefs, waiters and the warehouse in France). • Dealing with large/special orders, building new client relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. • Managing the billing process and ensuring prompt payment. Here are some of my achievements completed in my current job of which I am not the least proud of: - Led the new UK partnership between Laduree and Mikimoto in London, negotiating non-standard discounts and stock arrangements under tight timelines (normally dealt with by HQ). - Introduced a voucher system for Mikimoto’s VIP clients to redeem at Laduree’s boutiques, generating an additional immediate sale of £2.5K (typical orders being less than £500). - Generated new business at networking events, including a successful win of a new customer that resulted in an additional £4K per month for 6 months. - Strong negotiation skills as evidenced prior to the Quintessentially Wedding Atelier i.e. negotiated favourable terms and significantly reduced the initial cost at a prestigious wedding show, saving 40% on the first offer. - Created the business plan for the extension of one of the boutiques to add a tea room including competitor benchmarking studies and revenue projections.
