About me
Recently product design graduate from the University of Lincoln, I am an outgoing, amiable and confident individual, who has a passion for design in all its guises. Throughout my degree I was fortunate
to work with several different companies on a series of competitive projects. I have a good understanding of the design industry from
completing these live projects, having made the final selection on a number of them. I have created and delivered professional
presentations, where I have been able to demonstrate my deep understanding of design as well as my proficient use of 2D and 3D
technology: being proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Keyshot, Sculptris, amongst others.
Projects
- TrinityThrough degree course, working with Eco-glo on projects to tackle environmental, commercial, social and ecological issues through design. Working with locally sourced manufacturing companies to ensure not only did the product engage with the local community, that it met to the high standards of the company concerning impact to the environment.
- CarvelWorking on a live client project within degree course, Carvel is a lighting product that was inspired by my research into how human pollution is damaging the earth’s oceanic ecosystems. Working with Jason Bradbury as our lecturer on this project, a passionate and coherent response was achieved, whilst investigating how technology and traditional materials and processes such as ceramics and glass can be combined to produce coherent and striking products. Starting from my own watercolour illustrations of oceanic life forms I have designed a light that reflects the delicate beauty of the Portuguese Man of War rather than the deadly aspect which we are often primarily concerned with. I have also produced 3D rendered images in Sculptris and Keyshot to support the product.

The nature of my degree course involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of practical workshop skills. Through my degree, my passion and simulation for design was increased, giving me a greater desire to work within design. I have an excellent understanding of the design industry, from working on live projects within my degree working with Alexander Rose, Slam Design, Penguin Books and Jason Bradbury, having made the final selection on a number of them and progressing the projects to professional production.
