About me
Hello! My name is Helayna, currently a Pro Team Artist for MAC Cosmetics, a worldwide cosmetics brand known for its inclusivity and artistry development. I am also a freelance Special Effects, Hair and Makeup Artist and Content Creator.
Currently based in London, I’m originally from a small town in Cambridgeshire; I studied at Cambridge Regional College for three years, achieving 2 Diplomas in Hair and Media Makeup.
After education I began working with MAC Cosmetics in Cambridge and eventually moving to work within the MACPro Team in London. All the while I have also freelanced for many creative projects; ranging from Film and Theatre to Editorial and Runway. My passion for art revolves around creativity and uniqueness, and I’m always learning and applying skills such as Creative Direction, Team Leadership and Problem Solving.
I find community to be of great importance; as someone from a lower socioeconomic background, finding likeminded creative people to grow and build connections with is key while navigating a field that can at times be difficult coming from lower income backgrounds. Lifting each other up is something I strive to do, and growing a community of creatives from all different fields is something I hope to achieve.

I have experience within Editorial, Runway, Theater and Film. Also experienced working with press journalists and eventing; my work has been featured in Hunger Magazine, Gal-Dem Magazine, GUAP Magazine and Aether Magazine. I have an IMDb page with two short film credits currently.
I have worked with a wide variety of brands including ASOS, Logitech, L'Oreal, and Ciroc Vodka.
I have experience working with Directors and Project organisers to prepare and plan makeup and sfx, designing and executing makeup designs to suit the clients specifications. I have worked on many projects as Key Artist, leading a team of artists to create and execute looks for multiple runway fashion shows. A main skill I maintain is working in teams to create makeup and sfx looks, maintaining excellent set ettiquette while communicating as a team and working under pressure.
