About me
After 10 years working in mental health I made the decision to follow my dreams and become a graphic designer. Skills gained from my mental health nursing are very transferable, especially communication, engagement and collaboration, not to mention gaining a unique perspective of people. Shillington Full Time Graphic Design Course was a job in itself and having completed it I have not only used 486 hours in 3 months working on graphic design briefs but have gained excellent skills, improving my efficiency. I work well as a team member or individually, and I am very adaptable, always aspiring to find excellent solutions. Your welcome to visit my website to see more of my work just follow the link below.
Projects
  • Movie Poster
Movie PosterBeetlejuice The objective behind this piece of work was to create a handmade poster for any film, book or album. Beetlejuice one of my favourite films came to mind a very humorous movie regarding the morbid topic of life after death. My aim was to create a chic and avant-garde event directed at open minded film enthusiasts. Student Work while at Shillington College.
  • Plastic Pollution in the Ocean
Plastic Pollution in the OceanPlastic pollution in the ocean is a major problem as there a tons of plastic in our oceans killing marine life, contaminating the water and evidently entering our food supplies. A fictitious campaign (although I wish it was real, work I created while at Shillington College) to instigate thinking and action regarding plastic pollution. The alphabet has been handmade using plastic bags a major source of contamination in our ocean and in the water they mimic jelly fish which is a food source for many marine life.
  • Travel magazine
Travel magazineThis is a cover and spread for an unconventional travel magazine aimed at those with abundant curiosity. The graphic marks in the spreads and the effects on the photographs stem from Jackson Pollocks' approach of creating without consciously thinking about it, in other words, wandering and seeing where it will take you. This is my student work from my recent time at Shillington College September to December 2016.
