Hélène Martin (Le Mans, France) is an artist-filmmaker. She studied at the Royal College of Art (MA Printmaking and MPhil Fine Art Research by practice in 2010). ). She was short-listed for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2005 with the video “Platforms for Comprehension”. She was part of the Show “Film in space ” at the Camden Art Centre in January 2013. She exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her work is often subtle and humorous in tone, oscillating between the poetic and didactic. Quiet fittingly, She recently completed a residency in New York at the School of Poetic Computation, a research group focused on the intersection of art, design and technology.

- Filmflicker (2017)An analogue projector flickers a series of picture by repeatedly opening and closing the shutter and advancing the film in between the light source and lens.
