I am a Psychology graduate with professional experience in office management and client relationships. My writing and editorial experience stems from out-of-office, through freelance opportunities, writing as a hobby, and my 3 year long university newspaper career.

Deputy EditorThe Croft

As Deputy Editor of The Croft (the lifestyle magazine published alongside Epigram - University of Bristol's independent student newspaper), I and two other team members were responsible for managing 16 other students who made up the sections of the lifestyle magazine. I also got involved with the establishing the social media presence of the magazine, writing editorials, and taking joint responsibility as part of a three-strong team to proof and submit pages to the printers from December 2019 – a task previously only trusted to the Editor(s)-in-Chief. The Croft team were shortlisted for the Contribution to Student Media award this summer, as part of the yearly Bristol SU Awards.

I completed a wide variety of projects for 4 divisions of the B2B company IQPC Digital (Pharma, CX, Oil and Gas, and SSON), including writing press releases, designing social media banners, compiling twitter feeds for up to a month, copywriting emails and sponsorship prospectuses for online events; I also wrote an article on the top 25 logistics providers based on 2018 revenue.
I learnt how to change my tone to suit clients from the different portals, as well as write documents that incorporated a very specific style and formula (press releases, emails). I also learnt how to write business tweets to promote online events and company products, and subsequently learning how to use programs such as Hootsuite and Tweetdeck to queue tweets to reach to IQPC's digital audience.
