I am passionate about the community I live in and a big believer in equal opportunities, I love people and am fascinated about what makes us individuals. I am a creative thinker and enjoy visualising the bigger picture as well a critical analysing situations and tasks. I have travelled extensively and have lived and worked in Italy and Greece. I believe life is for the taking. It is about opening yourself to new ideas, exploring, talking, growing and understanding, or thinking about as much information as you can gather.
- I was responsible for the creative content for our client’s events - I was responsible for organising high profile events, in and around London. I coordinated with curators, logistics and clients. One such an event was a marketing event at Box Park - Part of a team making creative marketing strategies for our client’s projects, - I gained advanced communication skills in creating and delivering presentations to clients such as Mathew Herbert from Accidental Records - Learnt how to manage and work within a diverse team of artists
- Updated and managed e-commerce website - Copy writing - Maintained regular telephone communication with the Wilderness clients wanting to add information to the website - Helped organise the Wilderness Festival promotional event at the Idler Academy bookshop - I learnt to communicate effectively within a large team
- Assisted with classroom management - Taught and advised young people in event management - Provide encouragement to the young people who were marginalised from the group - Helped the children conceptualise the events by introducing mood boards, time management skills, to do lists etc -I oversaw the running of the last event and the young people who created it whilst the teacher was away on leave. This was delivered to a high standard with 60 other young people attending the event. - I gained the young people´s trust and respect and as a team we put on three successful under 18 events
I organised and delivered a 500 person festival that showcased many artists and musicians from my local town. Organising included, getting local sponsorship, obtaining license, organising event to fit licensing spec, booking bands, acts, artists, workshop leaders and food concessions. Over the two days of both events I oversaw the set up and take down as well as managing a team of volunteers who worked over the two days seeing to the general running of the event. This included; security, marshals, stage managers, ticket desk operators and bar staff etc.
I walked 1800 km from Le Puy en Valley to Santiago in Spain.
