I wrote a regular wine column in the Lady from 2011 until 2015, a popular column in the Guardian called "Empire of Drink" and was a judge for the 2017 BBC Food & Farming Awards. This year (2018) I will be judging the Fortnum & Mason food & drink writing awards. My book Empire of Booze was published by Unbound in November 2016 and won Debut Drink Book of the Year at the Fortnum & Mason awards. It was also shortlisted for a Louis Roederer wine writing award in 2017. I am currently working on a book called the Home Bar to be published by Jacqui Small autumn 2018. In 2014 I was shortlisted for Drink Writer of the Year for work in the Spectator at the Fortnum & Mason Awards. In 2010 started a blog called Henry's World of Booze, https://worldofbooze.wordpress.com, which became one of the most read drinks blogs in Britain. I was a founder member of the London Review of Breakfasts blog and a contributor to the Breakfast Bible (Bloomsbury 2013)
