About me

I am a graphic designer and mixed media illustration artist based in Hampshire. I am currently searching to gain experience in the creative industry and different creative fields; I am fluent in analogue and digital design and print making processes. I use a lot of textures in my illustrative work which creates a bold, chunky and layered style that I tone down with muted and saturated colours. I like to keep my graphic design simple, clean and minimalistic - I occasionally add pops of texture to my graphic design where required. I studied at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) where I achieved my first class degree in BA (Hons) illustration. I have been passionate about visual story telling for as long as I can remember, and believe that atmospheres and emotions can be conveyed strongly through illustrations that display pertinent colours and imagery to the subject matter. I have an avid interest in Surrealism and symbolism which can be apparent in a large majority of my work and I tend to work from personal and shared experiences as the base for many of my artworks. In my spare time I work as a freelance illustrator. I have worked on multiple projects that have covered branding, logo design and packaging design for small businesses and local bands. Additionally, I have almost 10 years of retail experience and 2 years of retail management which has enhanced my interpersonal skills and ability to speak confidently with clients and co-workers.

  Logo DesignEarlier this year (2022), I had the pleasure of designing and creating Mica and the Midnight Blue's new social media, promotion and merchandise logo. Mica and the Midnight Blue are a 'Tropical Indie Folk' group of musicians. They approached me as they wanted a hand rendered appearance to their new logo, and believed that my style of work would work well with their desired outcome.
