About me
I am a motivated and ambitious Film and Television Research and Production masters student at University of Birmingham looking to enter a career in media production with a particular interest in documentaries and public historical outputs. I graduated the University of Sheffield with a 2:1 in History in 2017 and still have a keen interest in history. I have had experience working as a runner, researcher and production assistant for a range of different production companies.

Worked on Who Do You Think You Are as a Junior Researcher. In this role I sourced experts for particular areas of history and put together documents for certain events and historical figures as well as research potential filming locations for the series.
I used a variety of databases including ancestory.com and British Newspaper Archives to trace the histories of ancestors and generally assisted the researchers in any way I could

I worked with a small team to produce branded video content for clients primarily in the financial advisory sector. Filming, editing and exporting content for clients to use for their online content marketing strategy. Experience with digital social media, scheduling content for clients and handling multiple projects.
I also carried out research for an internal documentary project focusing on the history of Birmingham, contacted
relevant historians in relation to interviews and set up meetings, wrote scripts for the videos, filmed the content and then edited the videos ready for distribution on Embers social media channels.

During my time on this course I have learnt how to competently use Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Premier Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. I have operated with DSLR cameras as well as Canon C100 Mk II. I have lead my own projects and assisted my fellow course mates with their own.
For my own projects I have organised contributors, written scripts, written interviews, filmed interviews, worked with green screen and edited all my audio and video for assignments.
