Freelancer and student based around Sheffield and East Lincolnshire.
A final year university student studying Illustration at Sheffield Hallam. I pursue a professional practice outside of my studies in terms of commissions and personal projects, and have over 5 years of experience selling handmade wares in an online setting.
I work in predominantly mixed-media illustration, but my work overlaps into product and surface design and textile handicrafts as well. I am interested in exploring narratives through unconventional forms of sequential image and seek to tell stories through my art regardless of medium. I suppose I also pride myself on my print and graphic design knowledge.
I draw a huge amount of inspiration from the mundane and everyday, using my art to bring much needed whimsy and charm into the plain and encouraging others to both find joy and relish in the poignancy of the little things in life.
The core strength of my work is my passion for research and observation, both on the ground level and from personal experiences as well as through seeking out and recording the lived truths of souls other than my own.

- What Makes LondonI was tasked with the project of exploring the wonderful city of London and then figuring out and expressing what it means to me. The bulk of the workflow included on-location observational drawing; which is traditionally called 'Reportage' in the visual art world, which then informed and inspired three final pieces.
