    Southend-on-Sea, United KingdomFull Time
My current job mostly encompasses customer service within the financial health and support sector. In a telephony-based role, I have gained excellent communication and IT skills to provide the best experience for the customer. Most of our customers are struggling to cope with their debt so I assist by assessing their affordability and find ways to help the customer manage their debts successfully. Multi-tasking is a key part of this role as I am required to ask sensitive questions to assess how the customer found themselves in this position whilst also taking notes and maintaining an empathetic attitude. This role requires me to meet call targets that are monitored daily whilst maintaining high levels of detail and achieving the right results for the customer.

Working at such a prestigious establishment, I was required to be presentable, punctual, and proficient at all times. A key part of my role was preparing, overseeing, and closing every event, be it in-house or private. Whilst overseeing the event, I would lead a team of up to 10 colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the event from start to finish. The execution of silver service was always expected. I was responsible for ensuring clients' individual dietary requirements were met and delivered seamlessly. I also held an administrative role within the team. I attended the day-to-day meetings and took notes on behalf of my manager for later referral. I regularly monitored multiple databases to keep track of the company inventory as well as being responsible for taking and handling all the cash sales. Here I gained my Level 3 NVQ in First Aid and participated in Fire Safety training.

During my time at College I learnt a lot about myself and the world. I participated in the netball team and I found that my physical fitness can positively affect my mental wellbeing. I learnt that you can only truly gain from life by what you put into it. I did not achieve the grades that I had hoped for, but I came out of college with A levels in Business Studies and Media Studies.
