I am currently working in the resort of La Plagne in the French Alps as an Assistant Resort Manager for a winter holiday company. As part of my role, I manage five different chalets and a total of twelve chalet staff. It is a people management role, which includes customer service, problem solving and airport duties. I also contribute to the company's social media on Facebook and Twitter and control the Instagram account.
I worked in Mallorca, one of Thomas Cook's busiest summer destinations, as a Destination Respresentative. My role was to be the face of the company and ensure that guests enjoyed their holiday by solving their complaints and selling excursions to enhance their experience. I ran daily welcome meetings in three different hotels and worked in Palma airport once a week. This role helped me to develop my public speaking and customer service skills, as well as my confidence.
I worked as a recruitment consultant at a technical recruitment consultancy that specialised in infrastructure and transportation recruitment for the public and private sectors. I was recruited to the railway team and headed up the railway signalling and telecoms desk. I specialised in the recruitment of signalling designers, engineers, testers, installers, as well as telecoms designers, project managers and Client Responsible Engineers (CRE).
