Holly Wales is a UK based illustrator. Her work passionately explores everything from hand drawn maps to lettering and food, pushing colour marker pens to their limits.
Holly’s client list includes Bloomberg, Conde Nast, Deutsche Bank, Esquire, Financial Times, Frieze Art Fair, GQ, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Mens Health, The Huffington Post, The V&A, Uniqlo, Urban Outfitters, Wired and many, many more.
Holly works on a number of regular illustration commissions and has previously illustrated a monthly column for Travel & Leisure Magazine in the US, a monthly cocktail column for GQ Deutschland and a weekly column for The New York Times Magazine called Lives.
Holly has also exhibited work internationally and had her work featured in a number of books and magazines. Her work is represented internationally by Mendola Artists in the USA and A-Gent Tokyo in Japan.
In 2017 she published her first book, “Draw Anything With Felt Tip Pens” with Ilex Press. It is available on Amazon and lots of other places too.
Holly is based in South Devon, UK. She has also written projects and taught on illustration and design programmes at Winchester School of Art, University of Westminster, Central St Martins, Brighton University, Camberwell College of Arts, Leeds College of Art & Design, Falmouth University and UWE amongst others.
