My undergraduate degree was centred around combining my interests and passions in both English and History. I focused on specifics periods of history, especially the Tudor era in Britain, in order to explore both the social history and the literary works of the time. Alongside this, I had a passion for Regency and Enlightenment Britain, with work focusing on the Scottish Clearances and the works of Mary Shelley and Jane Austen. These interests fed into each other and created a well-rounded knowledge of the cultural and social history of the period.
