Merchandising Administrative Assistant 1 September to 19th March 2020
My main responsibilities as an MAA was to assist the merchandising team with a focus on managing intake levels, general administration and sales performance. River Island had a restructure within merchandising splitting the allocator role into Allocators who focus on allocations and stock levels, and MAA focusing on Intake and delivery schedules working with suppliers regarding delays and flagging to the team.
• Reviewing bestsellers performance.
• Planning allocation of new products.
• Wholesale top ups and rebuy requests.
• Flagging key lines back in stock or fast sellers.
• Reviewing web stock levels and any key fast stores.

I was promoted to Allocator which includes Intake Administrator duties plus: allocation of new products to the most suitable stores matching distribution plans making suggestions to maximise sales and profit.
• Use of excel daily creating sheets.
• Communicating with the International Department ensuring stores are correctly stocked.
• Daily and weekly reviews of products checking stores performance and product/store options.
• Analysis of stock location reviewing potential new opportunities.
• Reviewing markdown stocks before and during this period to ensure the best sell through of products.
Intake Administrator (Jewellery/ Accessories) - 30th Jul 2018 – 3rd Jan 2019
• Product, store and data analysis.
• using ad hoc reports to ensure stock is in the right place to maximise sales.
• Use of excel sheets with formulas and pivot tables which are updated daily and weekly.
• Attending and leading weekly distribution meetings, updating merchandisers on previous week’s. performance and sales making suggestions or changes for following week.
• Leading weekly delivery schedule meetings highlighting any delays or key products.
• Able to complete the role of an Allocator apart from moving stock on the system.
