This hands on role of editor is exactly that, numerous in duties I take articles from ideas and commissions to final proofs on press day. My role often includes responsibilities such as: copy editing, subbing and proofing. As well as editorial functions, I also layout each and every page of the magazine in InDesign and use other pieces of software such as Photoshop and illustrator to add images. All these stages can be quite pressurising, but I always hit deadlines and as such this is a mantra of my work ethic.
I frequently liaise with authors, freelancers and often find myself attending conferences in order to network and broaden the journalistic scope of the journal. Due to this, I often find I am quite personable both in and out of the office
