About me
I have been a visual soul since I was able to illustrate my bedroom walls and my passion for arts developed soon after. I enjoy the pairing of narrative structure with visual stimulation and so my degree in English literature has given me a strong grounding. I consider myself a creative and was rewarded at university for my modernisations of Milton and “Beowulf”. I also have worked as a director and producer for school and university productions which I found particularly stimulating as it provided more time with actors and made for a great, visceral experience for the audience. I have now expanded to produce my own shorts, uploaded onto Vimeo. I found this such a learning experience in constructing dramatic frameworks, images and using an editing suite for the first time. I am currently working on my second short and plan to make a portfolio. I am also in the process of constructing my first script.
I now seek to commence my professional career. I hope to gain as much experience as I can and give enthusiasm, commitment and dedication in return. I am personable, optimistic and proactive. I have sought to create my own contacts in this industry which has resulted in some fantastic opportunities such as in house experience with Working Title and Ink Factory films. There, I experienced first-hand the daily operations of a production company and became adept at answering calls, taking messages and co-ordinating schedules. I also interacted with production companies and found an advantage in my familiarity with London. I am very organised and capable. I hope I will be an asset to those for whom I work.
