About me

This is Kami Yirao Hu, I am a passionate artist working on both film and installation. I am going to graduate from MA Contemporary Art Practice, Royal College of Art, London, in this June. I have my double-degree in BA Advertising and Sociology in Nanjing University, China. I have been working in film industry since 2018, which is my last year in university. I started as a production assistant, then I went gradually up to executive producer assistant and assistant director. The projects that I have participated in range over independent narrative film, fashion film, music video commercial.

  Mnemosyne Occurrences (2022)The Mnemosyne couture collection is brought to life in this therapeutic exploration of memories through the lens of Ericksonian Hypnosis. The models and the garments emerge from a dark abyss, standing out in stark contrast through lighting. They interact with one another through movements centred around a specific part of the body, a process that allows for unconscious memories to emerge in Ericksonian hypnosis. The original soundtrack by Jonatan Wejnold draws the viewer into a trance-like state
