De Wolfe Music is the world's oldest independent library and publisher, providing music for TV, Film, Commercials and Radio. My primary role is the digitising and remastering of the company’s extensive back catalogue, including five music libraries and two sound effects libraries. Other tasks include managing the catalogues, audio editing, audio & data transfer and the synchronizing of audio to video. When dealing with new submissions from the composers, it is necessary for me to provide production feedback to ensure the final submission is the best mix at the highest quality. I am also responsible for equipment maintenance and repair.
Wickham Festival is an annual, four-day music festival, which takes place in the Hampshire village of Wickham. In the capacity of Assistant Backstage Manager I am responsible for coordinating artists, assisting on the back line stage preparation, preparing dressing rooms, signing in acts/artists and their crew, as well as logging and coordinating technical specifications. I work as Producer and Presenter for the festival’s official podcast, organising and conducting interviews, before editing and uploading the finished podcasts. I also manage the festival Twitter feed, and assist with marketing and sponsorship.
DemonFM is a community radio station, which broadcasts in Leicester. I was a Producer and Presenter on the drive time show, managing a rotating show team for five shows a week. I would train new presenters and producers, build show clocks and schedules, manage the music library and develop new features. I built strong relationships with local venues, organised and conducted interviews with celebrities and community members, maintained the show's webpage, and produced podcasts. A number of my interviews were used in the official podcast for the Leicester Comedy Festival. I assisted on outside broadcasts and engineered live music for broadcast, provided cover for other show teams (including specialist and talk shows) and created show trailers and promotional material. To gain audience feedback, I ran focus groups with students from Leicester College. I also served a term on the Board of Directors, giving me some responsibility over the general creative direction of the station.
