About me
Hi, I'm Iain. I'm an experienced creative strategist and pitch lead focussed on two key things. - Helping brands overcome their complex communication challenges with simple, effective strategy - Leading agencies to win business with clear, concise and creatively compelling pitch responses When it comes to strategy I start by asking ‘Why?’ and never stop. I stay focussed on what the customer wants and how that can inspire what my client needs. This way I uncover the fresh insights, trends and opportunities that help us speak to both the head and the heart. Typically my output tends to be: - Integrated campaigns - Retail concepts - B2B marketing - Training & advocacy programmes - Experiential activations - Innovative OOH media - Content strategies For pitches I put myself in my client’s shoes and work hard to anticipate every question, challenge and misunderstanding that can arise. This helps me deliver pitches that surprise and delight clients, stand up to scrutiny and exceed expectations. Pitch work typically consists of: - Taking and clarifying client briefs - Leading on creative strategy - Project managing internal pitch resources - Working with designers on visuals and concepts - Writing and producing pitch decks - Delivering face to face or remote pitch responses I have 11 years of industry experience, of which five were spent running my own small agency. I've now moved to freelancing for more focus, flexibility and freedom. I've worked with various big name brands such as Häagen-Dazs, Moët, and Elizabeth Arden. However I've especially enjoyed my work with innovators such as Apple, Dyson, Epson, Tesco Mobile and Symantec.
