About me
Hi, I'm Ian. I’m a Senior Creative with 10 years experience. Most of my experience is within conceptual thinking, where my background in design enabled me to naturally progress into a hybrid creative with a strong focus on art direction. I have worked in big agencies for small clients and small agencies for big clients, with big budgets/no budgets and everything in between. Across all platforms to deliver full-on 360 campaigns from the get go, but also jumping onboard at various stages to help teams deliver for their clients - and I'm just as comfortable either way. On the side I'm a consultant for creators that want to make content (any platform) that fuses together all the things i'm passionate about from; youth culture, heritage, fashion, dance, music and skating. Creating a great working atmosphere not just for myself but for everyone is what makes me happy.
Projects
  • The EE Wembley Cup 2018
The EE Wembley Cup 2018Conceptualising and art directing the 4th Season of the EE Wembley Cup 2018 with an amazing creative team at Poke London.
  • Smirnoff Ice 20th Anniversary
Smirnoff Ice 20th AnniversaryCelebrating 20 years of Smirnoff Ice with a 90s inspired capsule collection. We partnered with an emerging fashion designer to create garments that were made available to followers who engaged in a simple competition mechanic via their social channels.
  • Three Mobile - The Whisper Lounge
Three Mobile - The Whisper LoungeOriginal concept created for Three's 'relaxing stuff' platform. The Whisper Lounge is content series where we invite artists to perform their best songs by whispering them in ASMR style.
  • Visible Sound
Visible SoundThe intention for this project was to make sound visible. As there is already a variety of ways in which sounds can be seen (equalizers, sub-titles, etc.), my aim was to produce a device where that representation of sound would be a physical one. I therefore used the sewing machine as the basis for the project as I feel it is synonymous with industry, and making physical products. Due to limitations in my computer programming skills this model of a stereo/sewing machine is a prototype of how I imagined the actual product would look.
  • Stereotypes
StereotypesA range of Burkas which have been designed and adapted to help facilitate Muslim women’s participation in certain activities where traditional dress may otherwise hinder them.
  • Nurofen - For lives bigger than pain
Nurofen - For lives bigger than painA £2m global ad campaign for Nurofen to shift their brand positioning to communicate the on-going lifestyle benefits to be had by using their products using the new tag line 'For lives bigger than pain'.
